River’s Edge in Clinton Township Debuts New Education Center During College Knowledge Night Featuring Representatives from Macomb County Community College and Oakland University 

OREM, UTAH, December 12, 2023 – Havenpark Communities, an operator and developer of manufactured home communities in Michigan and across the country, is proud to celebrate the opening of a new education center in its River’s Edge community in Clinton Township. The redeveloped education center was made possible through Havenpark’s substantial capital improvements in the three years since purchasing its River’s Edge community. 

“The new education center will be an invaluable resource for the parents and families who live in River’s Edge,” said Havenpark Communities CEO and Co-Founder Robbie Pratt. “We’re proud to make investments in our communities that also make our residents successful, like additional educational opportunities and high-quality amenities that increase home values.”

River’s Edge celebrated the opening of the education center as part of the community’s College Knowledge Night. The event, hosted by Havenpark’s Director of Education Success, Dr. Jason Hale, featured representatives from Macomb County Community College and Oakland University who discussed post-secondary opportunities, including financial assistance programs and the college application process. 

The grand opening was an opportunity for residents to learn about the new education center which boasts an upgraded Wi-Fi system to facilitate online tutoring and coursework.

“We are proud to provide our residents with support to help them achieve their educational goals,” said Dr. Hale. “These events play an important role in providing residents with the information and guidance they need as they consider the next steps in their educational journey after high school.” 

Since 2020 Havenpark has reinvested more than $12.0 million in its River’s Edge community; in 2023 alone, $1.9 million in capital improvements went towards converting the recreation center into an education-focused facility, repaving community roads, building sidewalks, and adding a new playground, among other improvements. 

 As part of the company’s Education Success Program, Havenpark awarded academic scholarships to 38 residents from communities across the nation this year. The program includes scholarships, mentoring, and other initiatives, such as the Springboard to Success Club which provides residents of any age with education and career opportunities such as professional development webinars and access to virtual office hours hosted by Dr. Hale.
