Information on Kansas State Financial Assistance Programs and Resources Due to COVID19
To: All Residents
To help our Residents through these unprecedented times arising from the COVID-19 pandemic, Havenpark Communities has compiled a list of Kansas state financial programs and resources that may be available to you.
Please note that the programs and resources mentioned in this document are meant to provide

- KANSAS STATE RESOURCES FOR INDIVIDUALS
- Expanded Unemployment Benefits
If you are currently unemployed (due to layoffs, furloughs, or reduction in workforce) due to
COVID-19, you may be eligible for expanded unemployment benefits.
- Summary of Program: If you are not working or working reduced hours due to COVID-19, you
may be eligible for Unemployment Insurance (UI) benefits. The waiting week requirement for
those unemployed due to COVID-19 is waived. If you are unemployed due to COVID-19 and
have taken all necessary steps to return to work for your regular employer, you do not have to
look for other work. - Who is Eligible: If you have worked for an employer who pays unemployment taxes in the last 18 months, you may be eligible and are encouraged to apply. Kansas Department of Labor staff will determine whether or not you have sufficient insured earnings to support a claim for unemployment benefits.

- Kansas Income Tax Filing Deadlines Extended for Individuals and Businesses
The Kansas Governor has extended tax filing deadlines to July 15, 2020, and the state is waiving any interest and penalties for returns and payments made on or before July 15, 2020.

- Kansas SBA Low Interest Disaster Loans
Small businesses in all 105 Kansas counties can now apply for SBA low-interest disaster loans.

- Kansas Hospitality Industry Relief Emergency Fund
The Kansas Department of Commerce has established a Hospitality Industry Relief Emergency
Fund to provide bridge loans for Kansas’ hospitality sector during the COVID-19 crisis.
