Information on Kentucky State Financial Assistance Programs and Resources Due to COVID-19

To help our Residents through these unprecedented times arising from the COVID-19 pandemic, Havenpark Communities has compiled a list of Kentucky state financial programs and resources that may be available to you.
Please note that the programs and resources mentioned in this document are meant to provide

- KENTUCKY STATE RESOURCES FOR INDIVIDUALS
- Expanded Kentucky Unemployment Benefits
If you are currently unemployed (due to layoffs, furloughs, or reduction in workforce) due to
COVID-19, you may be eligible for expanded unemployment benefits.
- Summary of program: Kentucky has greatly expanded the ability of individuals to obtain
unemployment insurance. Individuals who were not otherwise eligible, such as independent
contractors, may now have access to benefits. - Who is Eligible: Individuals who were employed prior to the COVD-19 pandemic, but are now
no longer employed, and meet the income requirement set by the State of Kentucky, are

- Relaxed Restrictions on Kentucky Retirement System
If you are currently retired, you may re-enter the workforce with limited impact.
- Summary of program: If you were a (1) law enforcement officer, (2) emergency medical personnel, (3) firefighter, (4) corrections officer, or (5) park ranger for a government in Kentucky, but retired, you may now return to work without an impact on your retirement benefits, pursuant to Executive Order 2020-265.
- Who is Eligible: Law enforcement officers, emergency medical personnel, firefighters, corrections officers, and park rangers previously employed by the Commonwealth of Kentucky and now drawing payment from the Kentucky Retirement System.

- KENTUCKY RESOURCES FOR BUSINESSES
- SBA Disaster Assistance Loan for Small Businesses
The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), administrated through the states, is offering Economic Injury Disaster Loans to help small businesses overcome the temporary loss of revenue caused by COVID-19. The loans are offered at low interest rates.
